ORIGINAL MESSAGE

Your Vote. Our Shared Future.

From: Amaresh Tiwari

Dear Members and Colleagues,

I have had the privilege of serving the Indian MICE industry for more than three decades and serving as Vice Chairman of the India Convention Promotion Bureau from 2019 to 2024. During this journey, I have seen the industry evolve from a relatively specialized segment into an increasingly important component of India’s tourism and business economy.

During my professional journey, I have worked across destinations, associations, international markets and major global MICE platforms. I was proud to contribute to the development of the Meet in India proposition, including its positioning, tagline and logo, and to initiate the Certified Conference Specialist programme to strengthen professional capability in our industry.

Today, India stands at a defining moment. Convention infrastructure is expanding, connectivity is improving, government recognition of MICE is growing and India’s corporate, healthcare, technology, knowledge and manufacturing sectors are creating enormous potential for business events.

But opportunity does not automatically translate into business. India needs stronger bidding, better intelligence, coordinated destination marketing, easier government facilitation, professional talent and a unified industry voice.

That is why I believe ICPB must enter its next chapter.

The next chapter for ICPB

ICPB must move

FROM PROMOTION
TO PERFORMANCE

From promoting India to helping India WIN business.

About Sudeep Sarcar

Experience Across the Ecosystem. Perspective Beyond a Designation.

Sudeep Sarcar’s professional journey has not been confined to one organisation, one function, or one side of the business-events industry. His experience spans destination management, professional congress organisation, exhibitions, export promotion, venue operations, institutional governance, and industry associations. This breadth has given him a practical understanding of the expectations of organisers, delegates, exhibitors, buyers, associations, venues, service providers, and public institutions.

As Executive Director (Corporate) & CEO of India Exposition Mart Limited, he contributes to the strategic and institutional development of an integrated trade, exhibition, convention, hospitality, and year-round sourcing ecosystem.

His leadership is defined not simply by the events hosted or platforms supported, but by the relationships, systems, and institutional capabilities required to sustain them.
